Barcelona equalizes to earn a point in a disappointing night in the third match after La Liga resumption. The Catalans was not able to bring home all three points from Roman Sanchez Pizjuan thanks to their unsatisfactory display at Sevilla.

Barcelona played their third consecutive match after the pandemic but could not record a victory and was forced to share points in the closing stages of Spanish league completion.

The match saw the first effort of the night by Suarez whose on target shot gone wide in the second minute of the game. Seville’s number 12, had a close effort missed who could make the result 1-0. Later in the night Lionel Messi was fouled in 20th minute, where he then through the given free kick shot beautifully only for Seville defender to clear it. His shot was chipped over the Sevilla wall to beat the keeper but went on for a clearance of Sevilla’s defender.

Earlier in the first half Messi again gets a free kick and hits it wide before he was fouled in 26th minute. It was a hard match for the Argentine as he was constantly fouled most particularly in the first half.

Later in 39th Minute Pique booked for a foul he claimed he shouldn’t be and had taken chances where Sevilla could have make it 1-0. Seville’s first effort in the second half was blocked beautifully by Pique and then another shot by Ter Stegen stopped the hosts from scoring.

Later in the match Barca’s number 10 missed few clear cut chances whereas along with Luis Suarez he got fouled repeatedly. On 72nd minute Messi hit another beautiful free kick, this time for Sevilla goalkeeper to send that for a corner. The visitors could have make it 0-1 by Luis Suarez but once again could not lead thanks to the missing chances.

The second half the match saw 5 minutes of added time where both teams had their chances missed and could not lead to clinch all three points in a disappointing night.

Barcelona now played 30 and earned a total of 65 points to stay at the top and lead the second placed Madrid who played 29 and has 62 points.
